Rennie Street will now be closed between Monday 15th January 2018 and Wednesday 31st January for 8 days inclusive when required. This to be undertaken to remove the remaining Tower Crane on site in order to finish the final façade components to the One Blackfriars Residential Tower.
A 500 tonne mobile crane, situated in Rennie Street will be used to deconstruct the tower crane. The works requiring the Mobile Crane are estimated to only take 8 working days. Therefore if the construction team are able to complete the works earlier, then the road will be re-opened. Additionally, if the weather is inclement for several days the road will be temporarily re-opened until such a time where the weather allows the works to continue.
