Update:

From Monday 24th April until early August, Westminster City Council is carrying out utility works on the roads in and around Parliament Square at Westminster.

There will be temporary changes to the road layout, including various lane and road closures. Roads in and around the area will be busier than usual, especially during peak times.

Doon Street | Proposed Works

Update:

Lambeth Council has approved a permit modification request for Vodafone to carry out works on Doon Street to trench and lay 1x 90mm of duct. If carried out, the works will impact on the carriageway.

Waterloo Station Shell Entrance Closure

Update:

On  15 November 2015, Waterloo Shell ticket hall, on York Road, will close  until Summer 2018, as part of the works required for the wider development of Southbank Place .

During construction Transport for London are taking the opportunity to make improvements to the entrance and adjoining ticket hall. These include the addition of a third escalator, additional ticketing facilities, new ATMs and retail units, and a new, permanent art installation.

Whilst the work is taking place, customers will be directed to the two remaining ticket halls – the Colonnade ticket hall on Waterloo Road, and the mainline ticket hall which is connected with the National Rail concourse.  From next week TfL will release a range of communications to ensure that customers are aware of these works, and how this may impact their travel.

Stamford Street | Carriageway Realignment Works

Transport for London conducting re-alignment works of the carriageway on Stamford St at junction with Southwark Street and Blackfriars Road.

  • At junction with Southwark St and Blackfriars Rd, 3m wide vehicular flare on the nearside lane.
  • One 4.0m wide vehicular lane, from junction with Southwark Street and Blackfriars Road (West Bound).
  • A 1.3m metre wide kerbed signal island.
  • Advanced stop line on the junction with Southwark Street and Blackfriars Road.
  • 2.0m wide pedestrian  footway along the north bound edge of Stamford St, between Rennie Street and Blackfriars Roadd to replace the footway along the northbound side of the slip road.
  • Lane 1 of 2 closed, 3.25m running lane.

 

Stamford Street | Bus Shelter Works
