Construction Update | Westminster Bridge Road / Upper Marsh
As part of the Wessex Capacity Improvement Programme, Network Rail are carrying out works on sites at Westminster Bridge Road and Upper Marsh. The works involve the partial demolition of the existing platforms 21-24 in the former Waterloo International Terminal. Up to 5 HGVs a day will be needed and they will access the site from Upper Marsh, therefore delays could be likely in this area.
The works commence Tuesday 3rd May 2016 and the demolition will take around 12 weeks to complete. Works will then continue until early 2017 to reconfigure the platforms and tracks.
Works are to take place Monday – Friday between 0800 and 1800. However, Saturday mornings between 0800 – 1300 may take place in order to deliver the works on time.
