Planning Application | Non Material Amendment to Shell Centre
A planning application has been submitted for a series of non-material amendments following a grant of planning permission 12/04699/FUL (Application for external alterations to the retained Shell centre Tower to integrate it with the redevelopment works, to include recladding exposed elements of the building facade.) Amendment sought: installation to the east facade of windows and decorative stone features which have been reclaimed from the demolished Wing buildings on the wider Shell Centre site. By utilising reclaimed windows and stone ‘cartouche’ features, the proposed amendments increase the sustainability of the building and help ensure that the Shell Tower reflects further elements of the original Shell Centre. The amendments will have no effect on the use, quantum, mix or tenure of the building and will not materially affect the appearance of the Shell Tower
