Starting today 12th December 2017, emergency roadwork will be carried out on York Road, at the junction with Mepham Street. The work will be undertaken by Southern Gas Network to deal with a gas escape.
Traffic management will be in place until the work is complete: lane two eastbound is closed, and a carriageway width restriction has been enforced westbound.
The end date of the works is currently unconfirmed, with further updates to be released as and when the information becomes available.
